IPB is coordinating the PEREQT project – Strategy for the Development of Special Education in São Tomé and Príncipe, an initiative that brings together Portuguese and São Toméan partners to support the development of inclusive education in that country.
Throughout 2026, the project will organise training sessions for teachers and support staff, knowledge-sharing seminars, and the development of tools to support the implementation of São Tomé and Príncipe’s Framework Law on Special Education.
Developed by a team of professors and researchers from IPB, including CITeD, the project aims to strengthen educational provision for children and young people with special educational needs, contributing to a more inclusive and equitable education system. ✨
The public presentation of the PEREQT took place on June 11 in São Tomé and was attended by representatives of the São Toméan government and IPB.
